SANDY LOAM PLANTERS MIX
This Sandy Loam is the cornerstone of all our planters’ mixes. What makes this sand mix so effective are the fine granulated Valent and Vona sands (US Geological Survey Classification). These sands not only have low salt, PH, and lime content, but also one other rare factor that makes them special. These sands contains deposits of aged (minimum of 15 years old), mineralized turkey compost. We have been permitted by the State of Colorado Health Department under the Department of Agriculture to reclamate and then sell these special organic deposits contained within the sand mounds on our property.
These aged/mineralized turkey deposits contain a colloidal wax that acts to condition the soil, and keeps compaction to a minimum. To the touch of a hand this special sand feels like a soft velvet glove compared to raw normal coarse sand.
CLAY SILT PLANTERS MIX
This planter’s mix is a darker, richer, loam look compared to the Sandy Loam Planters Mix. The clay we use is a nutrient rich agricultural silt/loam sediment that is clay based. This is NOT a sub-soil clay Bentonite.
To make the Clay Silt Planters we use 30% Sandy Loam, 40% Black Tea Compost (Class 1), and combine 30% of this top quality clay to make this a premium mix. This material is recommended for building landscape mounds.
SHIPMENT ARRANGMENTS & LOADS
We sell all our materials by the cubic yard.We deliver with 2-3 days notice to all the main cities and 7 counties along the Front Range. We also deliver in the mountains and down to Colorado Springs at special pricing along with adequate notice. Delivery is made by full sized 18 wheeled semi-trucks with belt-floor trailers. A smaller 10 wheeled semi is available for half load pricing and with at least a weeks prior notice.
